Let's take a closer look at the response.
Do you remember how Kunakorn Kunalai says,
"I come from Pai."
ผมมาจากปายครับ (phǒm-maa-jàak-bpaai-khráp)
First is ผม (phǒm), "I," when the speaker is a male. ผม. ผม
Note: a female speaker would use ดิฉัน (dì-chǎn), "I." ดิฉัน. ดิฉัน
Next is มา (maa), "come." มา
After this is จาก (jàak), "from." จาก
Next is the city ปาย (bpaai), "Pai," a small town in Northern Thailand. ปาย. ปาย
Last is ครับ (khráp), the polite ending particle for a male speaker. ครับ
All together, ผมมาจากปายครับ (phǒm-maa-jàak-bpaai-khráp), "I come from Pai."

The pattern for a male speaker is
ผมมาจาก (phǒm-maa-jàak) LOCATION ครับ (khráp)
"I come from LOCATION."
ผมมาจาก (phǒm-maa-jàak) LOCATION ครับ (khráp)
The pattern for female a speaker is
ดิฉันมาจาก (dì-chǎn-maa-jàak) LOCATION ค่ะ (khâ)
"I come from LOCATION."
ดิฉันมาจาก (dì-chǎn-maa-jàak) LOCATION ค่ะ (khâ)
To use this pattern, you can simply replace the LOCATION placeholder with the name of your hometown.
Note: This pattern requires a noun, and works with the names of cities, villages, towns, or countries.
Imagine you’re from Sydney. In Thai, ซิดนีย์ (sít-nîi). ซิดนีย์. ซิดนีย์
Say
"I come from Sydney."
Ready?
ดิฉันมาจากซิดนีย์ค่ะ (dì-chǎn-maa-jàak-sít-nîi-khâ)
"I come from Sydney."
