| Now, let’s take a look at some conversational phrases! |

| คุณทำอะไรในวันตรุษจีน (khun tham à-rai nai wan dtrùt-jiin) |
| ฉันวางแผนว่าจะไปทะเล (chǎn wang phǎaen wâa jà bpai thá-lee) |
| Once more with the English translation. |
| คุณทำอะไรในวันตรุษจีน (khun tham à-rai nai wan dtrùt-jiin) |
| “What are you doing for Lunar New Year?” |
| ฉันวางแผนว่าจะไปทะเล (chǎn wang phǎaen wâa jà bpai thá-lee) |
| “I'm planning to go to the beach.” |
| First of all you'll need to learn how to say “What are you doing for Lunar New Year?” |
| That's: |
| คุณทำอะไรในวันตรุษจีน (khun tham à-rai nai wan dtrùt-jiin) |
| Lunar New Year marks the new year according to the traditional Chinese calendar. |
| Listen to it again: |
| คุณทำอะไรในวันตรุษจีน, คุณทำอะไรในวันตรุษจีน (khun tham à-rai nai wan dtrùt-jiin, khun tham à-rai nai wan dtrùt-jiin) |
| This Thai sentence literally translates as “What do you do on Chinese New Year?” But it means “What are you doing for Lunar New Year?". |
| Now, how do you answer this question? |
| The pattern is: |
| ฉันวางแผนว่าจะ [plan] (chǎn wang phǎaen wâa jà [plan]) |
| “I’m planning to [plan].” |
| For example: |
| “I'm planning to go to the beach.” |
| ฉันวางแผนว่าจะไปทะเล, ฉันวางแผนว่าจะไปทะเล (chǎn wang phǎaen wâa jà bpai thá-lee, chǎn wang phǎaen wâa jà bpai thá-lee) |
