John: This is Must-know Thai Slang Words and Phrases, Season 1, Lesson 6. In this lesson, you'll learn words for describing personalities.
John: These words describe certain personality traits.

John: Jay, what's our first expression?
Jay: มั่นหน้า (mân nâa)
John: This literally means "having confidence in your own face," but when it's used as a slang expression, it means "very confident that you are pretty or handsome, extreme confidence in oneself, or to be sure of one's own appearance."

John: This literally means "lala," but when it's used as a slang expression, it means "happy-go-lucky."

John: Use this expression to describe hyper, crazy (in a good way), and funny people or behaviors. For example, dancing crazily in the classroom. Thai people use this slang to say it’s as if the craziness is leaking out of someone.

Jay: เซวส์ (séo)
John: The word is borrowed from the English word “self-confidence,” and when it's used as a slang expression, it means "high self-confidence."

John: Use this expression to describe a person who is very confident about himself. Mostly, it's a positive word, but sometimes, it can imply that the person is ''too'' confident.

John: "People who want to be a star must possess high self-confidence."
