[สวัสดีค่ะ - sà-wàt-dii khâ]. Hello and welcome back to Thai weekly words with me Prathana. This week, we will be learning about Post office [ที่ทำการไปรษณีย์ - thîi-tham-gaan-bprai-sà-nii]
จดหมาย [jòt-măai] “letter”. [วันนี้ฉันต้องเอาจดหมายไปส่ง - wan níi chăn dtâwng ao jòt-măai bpai sòng] - “I have to send a letter today”.
[ซองจดหมาย - saawng jòt-măai] “envelope”. [กรุณาติดแสตมป์ที่มุมบนขวาของซองจดหมาย - gà-rú-naa dtìt sà-dtaem thîi mum bon khwăa khǎanwg saawng jòt-măai] - “Please put the stamp on the top right corner of the envelope”
[ตู้จดหมาย - dtûu jòt-măa] “mailbox”. [เขาไม่อยู่บ้านหลายวันจนตู้จดหมายเต็ม - khăo mâi yùu bâan lăai wan jon dtûu jòt-măai dtem] - “He is away from home for so many days that his mailbox was full”.
[พัสดุ - phát-sà-dù] “parcel” [อยากจะส่งพัสดุชิ้นนี้ไปอเมริกาค่ะ - yàak jà sòng phát-sà-dù chín níi bpai a-mee-rí-gaa khâ] - “I want to send this parcel to America.”
[ไปรษณีย์ด่วน - bprai-sà-nii dùuan] “Express Mail”. [เอกสารนี้ต้องส่งด้วยไปรษณีย์ด่วน - èek-ga-săan níi dtâwng sòng dûuai bprai-sà-nii dùuan] - “This document needs to be sent by Express Mail.”
