Hello everyone, welcome back to Thai weekly words. Today we will be learning about colors or [สี] (sǐi) in Thai.
1.The first word is [ขาว] (khăao) or white
[นักเรียนต้องสวมถุงเท้าขาวไปโรงเรียน] (nák-riian dtâwng sŭuam thŭng-tháao khăao bpai roong-riian) students have to wear white socks to school and that’s the rule in Thailand.
2.The next word is [ฟ้า] (fáa) or blue and you might notice that this word [ฟ้า] (fáa) is the same word to the word that means the sky.
So [ท้องฟ้าเป็นสีฟ้า] (tháawng-fáa bpen sǐi fáa) means the sky is blue.
3.The next word is [เหลือง] (lǔueang) or yellow
[เป็ดเป็นสีเหลือง] (bpèt bpen sǐi lǔueang) the ducks are yellow.
4.The next word is [แดง] (daaeng) or red
[ธงชาติไทยมีสีแดง ขาวและน้ำเงิน] (thong-châat thai mii sǐi daaeng khăao láe náam-ngoen) Thai national flags has red, white and blue colors.
5.The next word is [เขียว] (khĭiao) or green.
When the light turns green, that means you can go. [พอไฟเป็นสีเขียวแปลว่าไปได้] (phaaw fai bpen sǐi khĭiao bplaae wâa bpai dâai)
