Hello and welcome to Thai weekly words with me Prathana. This week, we would be learning about health concerns [ความกังวลเกี่ยวกับสุขภาพ - khwaam gang-won gìiao-gàp sùk-khà-phâap ]
[อาการไอ - aa-gaan ai] “cough”. [ยาตัวนี้ใช้รักษาอาการไอ - yaa dtuua níi chái rák-săa aa-gaan ai] - “This medicine is used for cough.”
[แผลไฟไหม้ - phlăae fai mâi] “burn”. [เขามีแผลไฟไหม้เพราะว่าไปโดนเตาร้อนๆ - khăo mii phlăae fai mâi phráw wâa bpai doon dtao ráawn ráawn] - “He has a burn because he touched the hot stuff.”
[ความเจ็บปวด - khwaam jèp bpùuat] “pain”. [คนที่เป็นโรคนี้จะได้รับความเจ็บปวดมาก - khon thîi bpen rôok níi jà dâai ráp khwaam jèp bpùuat mâak] - “People with this disease will have a lot of pain.”
[อาการคัน - aa-gaan khan] - “itch”. [อาการคันอาจเกิดจากการแพ้อาหาร - aa-gaan khan àat gòoet jàak gaan pháae aa-hăan] - “The itch could come from food allergy.”
[เป็นผื่น - bpen phùuen] - “to have a rash”. [เขาเป็นผื่นที่แขนจนแดงไปหมด - khăo bpen phùuen thîi khăaen jon daaeng bpai mòt] - “He has a rash on his hands that had turned red.”
