Jessi: Listen to the female speaker say "I live in New York." and then repeat.
Pim: dì-chǎn aa-sǎi yùu thîi niu-yàawk khâ
{Pause}
Jessi: This is how you say "I live in New York." if you are a female; if you are a male, simply replace the word dì-chǎn with the word phǒm, meaning “I” in English.
Now, listen to the entire response as you would say it if you’re a male, and repeat.
Pim: phǒm aa-sǎi yùu thîi niu-yàawk khráp
Jessi: To use a different phrase, replace "New York" with "London."
Pim: lawn-dawn
Jessi: "London"
Pim: (slow) lawn-dawn (regular) lawn-dawn
Jessi: Listen to the phrase again, this time with "London."
Pim: dì-chǎn aa-sǎi yùu thîi lawn-dawn khâ
Jessi: It mostly stays the same, simply replace "New York." Say "I live in London."
{pause}
Pim: dì-chǎn aa-sǎi yùu thîi lawn-dawn khâ
Jessi: Remember, this is how to answer the question if you’re a female. If you’re male, use phǒm instead of dì-chǎn. Now let’s try it with a male version.
Jessi: To expand on the pattern, replace "London" with "Berlin."
Pim: booe-lin

{pause}
Pim: phǒm aa-sǎi yùu thîi booe-lin khráp
Jessi: To use a different phrase, replace "Berlin" with "Paris."
Pim: bpaa-rîit
Jessi: "Paris"
Pim: (slow) bpaa-rîit (regular) bpaa-rîit
Jessi: Listen to the phrase again, this time with "Paris."
