Cultural Insight
Eric: Now it's time for a quick cultural insight.
Jay: After asking Raa-khaa thâo-rài? meaning “How much is it”, remember to add khá or khráp afterwards to make your request polite. In a casual situation, however, you can omit these and just say Raa-khaa thâo-rài?, meaning “How much”?

Eric: And that’s all for this lesson. Don’t forget to check out the lesson notes, and we’ll see you in the next lesson!
Jay: สวัสดี ค่ะ

Hello Sam,

Thank you for your comment. นี่ นั่น นู่น are pronouns which can stand alone นี่อะไร /นี่ใคร/นี่ ใช่ไหม and นี้ นั้น นู้น adjective or adverb describing classifier. อันนี้ /วันนี้ /วันนั้น /ตอนนั้น / ผู้ชายคนนั้น / ผมเอาอันนี้ 👍 Hope that helps. Please feel free to let me know if you have any questions. I will be glad to help.

สวัสดีค่ะ sa-wat-dii kha

Hi Ruud,

Thank you. Men can also say it. We add that just for the voice recorder, so he/she knows what to do for audio. Hope that helps. Please feel free to let me know if you have any future questions. I will be glad to help.

Have a good day.

"Phrase 4, man phaaeng bpai nàwy - It's a little too expensive. (feminime)"

I'm confused, can't this phrase be used by both female and males? Or how would you say it in a masculine way?

Hello

Can I say it 'phom ao an-nii khrap' instead of 'phom ao an-nii lae'?

Cheers
