Eric: Welcome to 3-Minute Thai Season 1, Lesson 22 - Ordering at a Restaurant. In this lesson, you’ll learn how to order at a restaurant or coffee shop in Thai.
Body
Eric: Here's the way to say "Can I see the menu?" in Thai.
Jay: [Normal] ขอดูเมนูได้ไหม(khǎaw duu mee-nuu dâai mái)
Eric: First is a word meaning ”May I?
Jay: [Normal] ขอ [Slow] ขอ (khǎaw)
Eric: Next is the verb meaning "to see"
Jay: [Normal] ดู [Slow] ดู(duu)
Eric: Next is the noun meaning “menu”
Jay: [Normal] เมนู [Slow] เมนู(mee-nuu)
Eric: Next is the verb meaning “can” or “to be able to”
Jay: [Normal] ได้ [Slow] ได้(dâai)
Eric: Last is the particle indicating a yes or no question.
