Hello, guys! Welcome back, Iโ€™m Jay again! So today weโ€™re going to do Top 10 Phrases You Never Want to Hear. Letโ€™s go!
1. เธเน‡เธšเธญเธเนเธฅเน‰เธง (gรขaw bร awk lรกaeo) "I told you so."
เธเน‡เธšเธญเธเนเธฅเน‰เธงเนƒเธŠเนˆเธ›เน‰เธฐ (gรขaw bร awk lรกaeo chรขi bpรข) So is means, "I told you so, right?"
Quite scary, I know itโ€™s not polite. So, when you use it make sure that the person is very very close to you and they are willing to forgive you, if you say that, okay?
(khร awp-khun thรฎi sลn jai sร -mร k ngaan gร p rao dtร ae dtam-nร aeng ngaan dtem lรกaeo)
"Thank you for your resume. However, the position has been filled."
Things that you expect to hear when you submit a CV or resume, right? I mean, thatโ€™s disappointing.
3. เธ‚เธญเน‚เธ—เธฉ เธ‰เธฑเธ™เธฅเธทเธก (khวŽaw-thรดot chวŽn luuem) "Sorry, I forgot."
You can use it when you forgot something, or you forgot to do something. Like, if a person like your mother asks you to clean house and you forgot to do it. So you can say this to her, like,
Or, เธ‚เธญเน‚เธ—เธฉ เธœเธกเธฅเธทเธก (khวŽaw-thรดot phว’m luuem) for guys.
4. เธ„เธธเธ“เธ–เธนเธเน„เธฅเนˆเธญเธญเธ (khun thรนuk lรขi ร awk) "You're fired."
Luckily, I have not had this experience, luckily! So behave well, donโ€™t do something bad.
5. เธ„เธธเธ“เธกเธตเธœเธกเธ‚เธฒเธง (khun mii phว’m khฤƒao) "You have a gray hair."
Itโ€™s not a good phrase that you want to hear.
6. เธŠเนˆเธงเธ‡เธ™เธตเน‰ เธญเน‰เธงเธ™เธ‚เธถเน‰เธ™เธซเธฃเธทเธญเน€เธ›เธฅเนˆเธฒ (chรปuang nรญi รปuan khรปuen rว”ue bplร o) "Have you gained weight recently?"
If youโ€™re foreigners maybe you wonโ€™t be experiencing this but for Thai, when they meet each other, like, letโ€™s say, after a while they meet each other again, like, they will comment about each otherโ€™s appearance like, โ€œHave you gained weight?โ€ or โ€œAre you getting fatter?โ€, โ€œOh! Are getting like slimmer?โ€ I donโ€™t know why, it is just the way we say things about each other without any bad intention.
7. เธงเธฑเธ™เธ™เธตเน‰เน„เธกเนˆเธกเธตเธ•เธฑเธ‡เธ„เนŒ (wan nรญi mรขi mii dtang) "I don't have your money today."
เธงเธฑเธ™เธ™เธตเน‰เน„เธกเนˆเธกเธตเธ•เธฑเธ‡เธ„เนŒ (wan nรญi mรขi mii dtang)
I donโ€™t encourage you to say this sentence because if you borrow someone money, you need to pay them back, right? I mean yeah, you should shouldnโ€™t say it at all. You should, you know, borrow someone just return it as much as possible.
8. เน€เธ˜เธญเธ”เธตเน€เธเธดเธ™เน„เธ› (thooe dii gooen bpai) "It's not you, it's me."
You need to find excuse so this is one perfect excuse to say. So when you hear that, you know that the person doesnโ€™t want to be with you already. Sorry, if you hear that before but yeah, at least they donโ€™t want to hurt your, you know, your feelings. So they choose this phrase. Thatโ€™s the good part though.
9. เน€เธฃเธฒเธ™เนˆเธฒเธˆเธฐเธฅเธญเธ‡เน„เธ›เน€เธˆเธญเนƒเธ„เธฃเนƒเธซเธกเนˆเน† เธ”เธนเธšเน‰เธฒเธ‡ (rao nรขa jร  laawng bpai jooe khrai mร i mร i duu bรขang) "We should see other people."
เน€เธฃเธฒเธ™เนˆเธฒเธˆเธฐเธฅเธญเธ‡เน„เธ›เน€เธˆเธญเนƒเธ„เธฃเนƒเธซเธกเนˆเน† เธ”เธนเธšเน‰เธฒเธ‡ (rao nรขa jร  laawng bpai jooe khrai mร i mร i duu bรขang)
Not a good feeling at all.
10. เธ‚เธญเธขเธทเธกเน€เธ‡เธดเธ™เธซเธ™เนˆเธญเธข (khวŽaw yuuem ngooen nร auy) / เธ‚เธญเธขเธดเธกเธ•เธฑเธ‡เธ„เนŒเธซเธ™เนˆเธญเธข (khวŽaw yuuem dtang nร auy) โ€œCan I borrow your money?"
If theyโ€™re like good friends of yours then itโ€™s fine but you know, someone, sometimes people just want to borrow your money but you donโ€™t want to.
