6. ส้มตำ (sôm-dtam) “Somtam”
ส้มตำ (sôm-dtam), or in English, also Somtam.
I have heard other people calling this dish “spicy salad”. This dish is different from typical salad because it is use raw papaya as the main ingredients, and it is spicy and sour. Normally we eat this with sticky rice.
ฉันชอบกินส้มตำกับข้าวเหนียว (chăn châawp gin sôm-dtam gàp khâao-nĭiao) “I love to eat Somtam with sticky rice.”
