Hello everyone. Welcome back to Thai top words. I am Jay and today, we will be doing Top 10 Phrases to Never Use in a Relationship. Okay, let’s begin.
1. ฉันบอกคุณแล้ว! (chăn bàawk khun láaeo) "I told you so!"
ที่รัก เราว่าเพื่อนเราอ่ะ ขโมยเงินเราไป (thîi rák rao wâa phûuean rao à khà-mooi ngooen rao bpai) "Baby, I think my money got stolen by my friend."
ชั้นบอกคุณแล้วใช่มั๊ย! ว่าเพื่อนคนเนี้ยไม่น่าเชื่อถือ (chán bàawk khun láaeo châi mái wâa phûuean khon níia mâi nâa chûuea thǔue) "I told you so! You cannot trust this friend."
2. เดี๋ยวฉันทำเอง (dĭiao chăn tham eeng) "I'll do it myself!"
เดี๋ยวชั้นทำเอง มานี่! (dǐiao chán tham eeng maa nîi) "I'll do it myself."
3. คุณไม่เคยฟังฉันเลย (khun mâi khooei fang chăn looei) "You never listen to me!"
Okay. This is the phrase that you shouldn’t say it in a relationship but I use this so often. I think most of the girls kind of use it without thinking too. So I don’t know like maybe I have to ask my boyfriend if he feels bad or anything.
4. เราควรจะคุยกันนะ (rao khuuan jà khui gan ná) "We should talk."
I mean you know like talking is good but if a girl says this or if a guy says this, something bad is going to happen. That’s what I feel.
5. ไม่เป็นไร (mâi bpen rai) "Nevermind."
Actually, this word we use this very often. I mean, ไม่เป็นไร (mâi bpen rai) also means “it’s okay”. Nevermind. That’s all right. So it depends on the situation and the tone as well.
6. มันเป็นความผิดของคุณ (man bpen khwaam phìt khǎawng khun) "It's all your fault!"
Okay. This is a bad, bad phrase. You shouldn’t say that. I mean, it’s obvious right. You shouldn’t say that. I mean, it’s obvious.
Okay. Let me act out.
ดูซิ! เราพลาดรถไฟขบวนสุดท้ายเลยอ่ะ มันเป็นความผิดของคุณอ่ะ (duu sí rao phlâat rót-fai khà-buuan sùt-tháai looei à man bpen khwaam phìt khǎawng khun à) "Oh my god! We missed the last train. It's all your fault!"
ขอโทษนะ... (khǎaw thôot ná) "I'm sorry..."
7. คุณไม่มีเวลาให้ฉันเลย (khun mâi mii wee-laa hâi chăn looei) "You never have time."
นี่นี่ ไปดูหนังกันมั๊ยอ่ะ (nîi nîi bpai duu nǎng gan mái à) "Hey baby, let's go watch a movie together!"
ขอโทษนะที่รัก คือผมต้องทำงานอ่ะ (khǎaw-thôot ná thîi rák khuue phǒm dtâawng tham ngaan à) "Sorry babe. I have to work. Maybe next time."
อีกแล้วนะ! คุณไม่มีเวลาให้ฉันเลย (ìik láaeo ná khun mâi mii wee-laa hâi chǎn looei) "What? Again? You never have time."
8. คุณชอบคิดว่าคุณถูก (khun châawp khít wâa khun thùuk) "You always think you're right."
And this is the other one that you shouldn’t say it out. I mean, no one is right all the time and no one is wrong all the time.
Okay. For this sentence, if you noticed, there is the word ชอบ (châawp), which literally means “like” but when we used it in some sentences, it also means “always”. So you always do something, คุณชอบ (khun châawp)
9. คุณไม่เคยเข้าใจฉันเลย (khun mâi khooei khâo jai chăn looei) "You never understand me."
If you say this one out, I think your partner will feel a bit guilty, not a bit, maybe guilty, very guilty. So just try not to say it.
10. คุณไม่สนใจกันเลย (khun mâi sǒn-jai gan looei) "You don't even care!"
If you noticed in the Thai sentence, there is this word (gan) which means each other, together. So, literally, like, the exact translation is, you don’t even care about me, คุณไม่สนใจกันเลย (khun mâi sǒn-jai gan looei). But if you want to say that you don’t even care. “You don’t even care about anything”, คุณไม่สนใจอะไรเลย (khun mâi sǒn-jai à-rai looei). So you know, use it wisely.
เฮ้ยที่รัก ผมใหม่เราเป็นไงบ้างอ่ะ (hóoei thîi rák phŏm mài rao bpen ngai bâang à) "Hey baby, how's my new hair?"
ก็ดีนะ อืม ก็ดี (gâaw dii ná uuem gâaw dii) "Um, okay... um, it looks nice."
โอ๊ย คุณไม่สนใจกันเลย (óoi khun mâi sǒn-jai gan looei) "Man! You don't even care."
