| John: meaning "as (someone) said" |
| John: This is also a phrase. |
| Anutida: First is อย่างที่(yàang thîi) which means "as" or "according to" and next is พูด(phûut) |
| John: This means "to say." |
| Anutida: Normally it can be used as 'อย่างที่พูด((yàang thîi phûut) without a subject. |
| John: In this case it means "as I said." |
| Anutida: But you can also add a subject to talk about something someone else has said before. |
| John: Can you give us an example using this word? |
| Anutida: Sure. For example, you can say... อย่างที่คุณครูพูด นักเรียนควรส่งงานให้ตรงเวลา(yàang thii khun khruu phûut nák-riian khuuan sòng ngaan hâi dtrong wee-laa) |
| John: ... which means "As the teacher said, students should submit their work on time." |
