Where are absolute beginner lessons for reading/writing? Don't I need to learn the alphabet? This is not intuitive!

I'm an absolute beginner and I am focusing on thai alphabet right now, I just noticed that เธ™เธ doesn't have any vowels. Why is this? Thank you very much.

Hi Parisa, thank you for your answer. With regards to the topic of "Thai tones", right now I have found 1 instruction video. But to my knowledge there are no exercises for "Thai tones". I would be interested to do exercises with Thai tones! I think the topic of "Thai tones" needs its own section of lessons. I think I need to learn 1) to first recognise the Thai tones; and 2) then to learn to pronounce them. So, I first need to learn to recognise them, before I can even learn to pronounce them! This is because my mother tongue (Dutch, with English as a second language) is not a not a tonal language! So, I first need to learn to recognise the different tones, before I can even learn to pronounce them! Again, many thanks for your wonderful language method.

I have first learnt the alphabet. Now I want to exercise reading as the next stage. I spell the letters and then say the word (with the help of the transcription). However, I'm still at a stage that I cannot yet clearly distinguish the 5 tones. So it would be helpful, in my opinion, if in these reading lessons for absolute beginners, the tones would somehow be indicated with a sign or a colour. That would help me recognise them and then improve my pronunciation. Just an idea. And many thanks for your excellent method!
