Hello Kezia,

Thank you very much for your comment and question. Yes you can used มา for past tense but you need to put ไป in front as well. Here you are

(ผู้หญิง)ไปแปรงฟันมา ฉันไปแปรงฟันมา

(ผู้หญิง)ไปดื่มน้ำมา ฉันไปดื่มน้ำมา

Hope that's help. Please let me know if you have any future questions. I will be glad to help. We wish you will have a good progress with your Thai.

Have a good day.

For the past tense, can I say ผู้หญิงแปรงฟันมา ผู้หญิงดื่มน้ำมา? I often hear Thai people use the word มา to indicate the past tense. I don't know if this is right or it means what I think it does.

THE PAST TENSE OF THIS LESSON IS NOT CORRECT.

eg.) ผู้หญิงแปรงฟัน ------ shown in the lesson as past tense

should be

ผู้หญิงแปรงฟันเสร็จแล้ว -------- corrected version

All of the Past Tense examples in the lesson have this error.

This was confirmed by my teacher K. Parisa

Hello Beatrice,

Thank you very much for your comment. For your question, “กำลัง” in Thai is "to be...ing". Yes, in the lesson materials says “The boy is waking up in the morning”?. Please let me know if you have any future questions.I will be glad to help.

Thanks again and hope you have a nice day.

For the first sentence, the speaker/video includes "กำลัง" which I think is some kind of verb conjugation (google says "being"), but in the Lesson Materials, it's excluded. The sentence in the lesson materials says "The boy wakes up in the morning." Does the sentence in the video mean "The boy is waking up in the morning"?

Hi, This coarse/lesson is dii maak maak! tam dai dii maak. Wish I knew it was here 2 months ago. Would

have started this straight after the 'learn Thai in 3 minutes' which is also great. Like all of your lessons the expansion section could use a bit of work, the next lesson (I came back to make comment here) is even worse, but I can still learn a lot from it.
