Eric: Must-Know Thai Social Media Phrases Season 1. Lesson 4 - Sharing a Song.
Eric: Hi everyone, I'm Eric.
Jay: And I'm Jay.
Eric: In this lesson, you'll learn how to post and leave comments in Thai about sharing music or videos. ฟ้า (fáa) shares a song she’s just heard at a party, posts a video of it, and leaves this comment:
Jay: เพลงนี้โดนใจสุดๆ (phleeng níi doon-jai sùt sùt)
Eric: Meaning - "I’m so loving this song." Listen to a reading of the post and the comments that follow.
DIALOGUE
ฟ้า: เพลงนี้โดนใจสุดๆ (phleeng níi doon-jai sùt sùt)
วิน: ชอบเหมือนกัน (chǎawp mǔuean gan)
น้ำฝน: ชอบคนหรือชอบเพลงจ๊ะ ;P (chǎawp khon rǔue chǎawp phleeng já)
นนท์: ผมก็ชอบเพลงนี้ครับ (phŏm gâaw chǎawp phleeng níi khráp)

Eric: Let's break this down. First is an expression meaning "This song."
Jay: เพลงนี้ (phleeng níi )
Eric: Unlike in English, in Thai the word 'this' is placed after a noun, not before it. Listen again- "This song" is...

Eric: Then comes the phrase - "to my liking."
Jay: โดนใจสุดๆ (doon-jai sùt sùt)
Eric: This phrase literally means 'maximum hit to the heart'. It’s used to describe things you really like. Mostly, it’s used with songs, movies and books. Sometimes we use it with people too, but only referring to a person that you like in a romantic way. Listen again- "to my liking" is...

Thank you very much for your comment. For your question, You understood correct we made a mistake on line by line audio romanization. "Châawp" to like is suppose to write with high tone. Hi, In the romanization section of the lesson notes chaawp is written as having a rising tone. \/ It should be a falling tone right? Or have I just been saying it wrong forever..
