Hello and welcome back to Thai weekly words with me Prathana and this week, we will be learning about cooking [ทำกับข้าว] (tham gàp-khâao)
1.[เนื้อวัว] (núuea-wuua) beef
[คนไทยจำนวนมากไม่กินเนื้อวัว] (khon thai jam-nuuan mâak mâi gin núuea-wuua) Many Thai’s don’t eat beef, its religious thing. So you might have many Thai friends that don’t eat beef
2.[เนื้อหมู] (núuea-mǔu) pork
[ฉันชอบกินเนื้อไก่มากกว่าเนื้อหมู] (chăn châawp gin núuea-gài mâak gwàa núuea-mǔu) I like chicken more than pork
3.[ผัด] (phàt) stir fried
[คุณแม่ทำผัดผักเป็นอาหารเย็น] (khun-mâae tham phàt phàk bpen aa-hăan yen) my mom cooked a stir fried vegetables for dinner
4.[ไก่] (gài) chicken
[เขาชอบกินไก่ย่างกับข้าว] (khăo châawp gin gài yâang gàp khâao) he likes eating grilled chicken with rice. Who doesn’t like it
5.[พริกไทย] (phrík-thai) pepper
[อาหารฝรั่งส่วนมากปรุงรสด้วยเกลือกับพริกไทย] (aa-hăan fà-ràng sùuan-mâak bprung-rót dûuai gluuea gàp phrík-thai) most of western food is seasoned with salt and pepper
