Hello Dan,

Thank you. No, this lesson will help you : https://www.thaipod101.com/lesson/survival-phrases-53-what-time-is-it/

8.30pm. สองทุ่มครึ่ง ** ไมง is not added when ทุ่ม / ตี take place.

11.45 it is fine to say 11โมงเช้า 45 นาทีแล้ว but way too long when chatting "สิบเอ็ดโมงสี่สิบห้า" better, no confusion. Hope that's help. Please let me know if you have any future questions. I will be glad to help.

Have a nice day.

Hello Kalai,

Thank you very much for your comment and question. 8:00 AM bpàaet moong chaao(high tone) means "in the morning" 8:00 PM is "sǎawng tûm". For 24 hour, 8:00 PM become "yîi-sìp naa-lí gaa". Hope that's help. Please let me know if you have any future questions. I will be glad to help. We wish you will have a good progress with Thai language.

Have a nice day.

sorry above is not clear, can you explain me, how to differentiate pm and am?

Example:-

8:00 AM bpàaet moong khub

and how about 8:00 PM _________________________

For time in 24-hour format shall i use "esip moong krub"
